Mostly don't like cop shows - but
Jack Webb new his business. I listened to a few of the shows on the radio, yes, it was on radio. Of the shows I saw on television, for the most part, I enjoyed them. The rapid fire questings, and the cute asides. There was one about one of their raincoats, I could not believe, something about a small rip.

Classic style
This episode is branded under the syndicated title of Badge 714.
A rare bit of comic business for Jack Webb in the opening scenes, followed by some classic rapid cutting during witness interviews. Co-star Ben Alexander shares script credit.
Some audio sync problems showed up for me after downloading.

A Good One
The "The Big Will" is one of the most twisted tale Dragnet episodes I have seen. My wife didn't figure this one out till the end.
Younger viewers might enjoy seeing a young Ellen Corby (Grandma Walton of "The Walton's") in this episode, too.
A Five Star rating for a first class show.
